Happy hump day friends! I am completely obsessed with the idea of getting some cooler weather down here in Southern LA (it’s still in the 70s). In preparation for the fall season, I rounded up some finds that I cannot wait to buy + break out!
Fall is the season of neutrals in my opinion. My wardrobe normally consists of neutral colors, and this season is no exception. I’m becoming crazy over shoes — booties + sneakers especially. These open toed booties from Dolce Vita are fabulous! They have a chunky heel which makes them comfortable, + the sage suede color would pair with black jeans and medium wash great! If you don’t live in a box you would know that Adidas superstars are all the rage right now. The gold is something I haven’t seen around, + it’s a bit more my speed than the classic black. I’ll be purchasing these bad boys very soon to wear with jeans, leggings, + sweater dresses! Comfort + style — it cannot get any better! Jewelry wise — I’m into chokers (as I’m sure you could tell by my last post) and hoop earrings (paging 2002). Bauble Bar is always one of my favorite stops for great + affordable statement pieces. Bibs are so fun with a simple top to dress things up. The bib I’m loving is actually two pieces — choker and bib so it is really versatile (more bang for you buck, amiright?). Fall weather calls for some sweaters + chunky ones are the best! h&m has some really afforable pieces if you’re in the market for a sweater (loving this one). Semi formal season is also upon us so I’ve been scouring the web for some affordable rompers (I love a good romper). Tobi has a great selection + I found this one on a whim! I love the material +the girly peplum. A choker would be fab with this!

Seeking some off time, my family and I headed to beach the first week of August. We explored Grayton Beach, Watercolor, and Seaside. In dire need of some outfit photos, I made my sister help me shoot this OOTD. I did a post on it 
My sisters and I moved into our brand new house this month! Although our move in date was pushed back a week, I can say that the wait was well worth it. Walking into our permanent home for the first time is something I will never forget.

Meet my roomies! Kayla is in the middle and Catherine on the right. We are having such an amazing time living in the house so far! I’m so happy they are able to put up with my excessive need to clean the room every single day.
Rush lasted for about four weeks for us this year. Due to the flood, we ended up having to push everything back two weeks. On our first day of ice water (finally), my CHOPS gals and I had to take a picture. My

MAMA WE MADE IT! Bid day 2016 was honestly the best day we’ve had this year. Being on the other side of things is so much more enjoyable. Our theme was the Color Run, so pink, blue and yellow were our colors. We covered ourselves in glitter, jewels, and wore candy chokers — and got prepared to welcome all of our new babies (115 of them) into this amazing sisterhood!
A day trip to NOLA to see my bestie was just what I needed to get this month started off on the right foot! Peep our Ray Bans (classic look from both of us). Get mine here and Zach’s here.
Summer time reading is one of my favorites. I’m still delving into the Cuckoo’s Calling, but hoping I can finish soon because I’ve got quite the list piling up!
I think we went overboard with the pineapple pictures during our time at the beach… Oh well.
My diva bestie from NYC came to visit for a few days this month!! We celebrated with watermelon spritzers + cake!! Thankful that our friendship can withstand 1,150 miles.
My dad’s day OOTD consisted of my favorite denim, a simple white top, and my OTBT Bushnells (Update: still obsessed. Don’t plan on giving it up anytime soon).
Call me DIY queen. Summertime is my DIY season since I have more spare time with no school. I ran to Hobby Lobby and snagged all of this for six dollars (go me with my coupons!!). Three necklaces later, and I’m wanting to go back for more.
My future home is coming along quite nicely, don’t ya think? August cannot come soon enough! (Can’t you tell how excited I am to live in this babe with all of my best friends/sisters!) #rushaphi
Walked into Ulta for one thing, and walked out with four…. Oops. I’ve heard only rave reviews about the NYX soft matte lip creams, and Maybelline instant age rewind concealer, so I’m super exited to try!
Probably the best fifty three dollars I have spent this month. This 
Maddie meet LGIP readers, LGIP readers meet Maddie. She’s been with me throughout this whole process and I am so elated to announce that she will be partnering with me to grow my social media. We’ve already taken an online class and plan to take some more to expand our knowledge on the subject. I cannot wait for y’all to see her amazing work!! (PS: this is an upcoming OOTD post… My dress is from Tobi!)
Forever wishing I could take blog pictures 24/7. When an off day rolls around, you can one hundred percent catch me with my camera in hand.
