I don’t know about y’all but Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year. Along with it comes catchy songs, happy spirits and lots and lots of fun Christmas decor. Seriously y’all I cannot wait to have my own place so I can decorate it for Christmas. While I’m dreaming of the future, I decided to put together a little collection of some holiday decor I’m wishing for. You can sense a theme here huh? I’m into mixing metals and neutrals this holiday season.

Here are some of my essentials.

// A Bar Cart //

Bar carts are a necessity for any apartment. I always see them splattered all over Pinterest decorated so many different ways. This one is from Target. I love the gold with the acrylic- it looks very simplistic. You can use it to store drink wear and alcohol or you can even display a nativity and some adorable reindeer figurines on it.

// Metallic Accent Pillow //

I’m such a simple girl. My whole room at home and (for the most part) at school is white. I love the way an all white room looks- so crisp. I think that adding a metallic accent pillow is the perfect way to jazz up any bed or even couch during the holidays. The pillow I picked is from TJ Maxx but I found some super cute ones at Target as well.

// Decorative Decanter //

Going along (once again) with my bar cart obsession is this platinum dotted decanter. Just look how adorable? I think it’d be a super cute addition to the bar cart weather or not its filled.

// Silver Nutcracker //

It just can’t be Christmas without a Nutcracker. I love this one from Target. It’s a twist on the classic red Nutcracker. How can you not love it?

// Reindeer Figurine //

I love trinkets and random things that can be used to add some spice to the coffee table, mantle, or even bedside table during Christmas. This reindeer is so simplistic I think you could easily keep it up year round!

Let me know how you decorate your house Christmas? If you don’t have your own place yet (like me) let me know how you would want to decorate it!

Life Lately | November Edition

Hi my friends!! I am so sorry for the lack of posts last week, as I was off of school for a few days and literally the only thing I wanted to do was lie in bed all day. I’m trying to get on a regular posting schedule, so y’all can expect posts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from me for now on. I wanted to compile a few pictures and just check in with y’all about what’s been happening in my life lately!

Here’s a lil sneak peak of what I wore to the last LSU home game versus Texas A&M this weekend. The weather was super weird.. It was overcast but extremely hot during the day and once we got into the game, it was perfect. I styled a bronze sequin skirt with a chunky high low sweater, a long freshwater pearl necklace. black booties and my Ray Ban aviators- obvi. Maddie is wearing an adorable pair of black suede shorts with an oatmeal colored sweater and a grey necklace wrapped twice (so it’s a choker and long). She wore some beige F21 booties with it and topped things off with her black Ray Bans.

The game was so much fun, considering it was like a little high school reunion. My friend, Gavin came into town from the Big Apple to spend the week in LA for Thanksgiving. I also had my high school friends Madeline and Sophia come into town for the game. The Tigers were finally able to get their stuff together and pull out a W! Les Miles coached what we thought was his last game with LSU and it was very emotional. He got carried off the field by the players only to find out that his job was safe and he would be our coach next year. Yay! To that I say #LesIsMore!

Baton Rouge can get boring on non-home game weekends (aka LSU vs Ole Miss), so my gal pals and I decided to head out to a cute girls dinner, followed by a night on the town (at Tigerland, that is. Classy, right?). We all got dressed up super super cute and hit up our local Mexican restaurant for some rocking food. I am stealing some outfit inspo from these ladies next time I head out- they all looked too cute! I love having fun girls nights out every once in a while!

I was recently elected to my chapter’s executive council as Director of Finance. It’s a super heavy load and a huge responsibility being in charge of everyone’s money- but I’m up for the task. I wanted to get involved in my chapter and I thought that jumping right into exec would be a great way to do so. I am so excited for the upcoming year to grow as an Alpha Phi with this group of women. While you’re at it, check out my chapter’s Instagram, Tumblr, Facebook and website.

Who is excited for the Christmas Season? I know I am!!

mani-monday-opi-lincoln-park-after-dark-1-lgip I haven’t done a Mani Monday in a while, so I figured why not now! If you know me, you know how much I love OPI’s Lincoln Park After Dark. It’s my all time favorite polish. I love how it’s a dark plum but can look black in certain light. Dark nails are in no matter what season, according to me. Do yourself a favor and buy a bottle of this, you’ll looooove it. Trust me.

Nordstrom Boot Sale | LGIP Picks

Riding Boot // Sam Edelman Penny Boot

I always love a good pair of riding boots. You can pair them with anything- jeans, leggings, a dress, literally anything. This Sam Edelman pair is so sleek and I love the color options offered (a grey, deep chocolate brown and a chestnut).

Bootie with Fringe // Vince Camuto Harlin Fringe Bootie

Fringe is all the rage this season! These booties are too cute. Fringe would be the perfect addition to any outfit that needs a little spicing up!! This neutral color matches with anything (especially purple and gold).

Open Toed Bootie // Dolce Vita Port Open Toe Bootie

Dolce Vita makes THE BEST open-toed booties. There was a pair from last year that I went on a man hunt for in September. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find them anywhere! These are the closet match I was able to find. I’m loving the zipper detail and this pale nude color makes me swoon.

Sleek Bootie // Sam Edelman Reyes Bootie

I have seen quite a few bloggers I follow on Instagram sporting sleek booties similar to these. I loooove the rounded toe these have. I’d pair them with an adorable pair of flair jeans for a 60’s-70’s vibe.

Bootie With Zipper Detail // Dolce Vita Highlander Bootie

Every girl needs a solid pair of black booties to wear with anything and everything. Checkout the zipper detail on these (do y’all see a theme? I really love zippers this season). My pair of black booties that I currently own are my absolute go-to for any outfit.

Have any of y’all shopped the Nordstrom boot sale? If so, what are your picks?

Sweater with pockets {similar} // Striped Popover {similar} // Distressed jeans // Longchamp LePliage tote // Tory Burch Reva Flats // Ray Ban Aviators // Monogram Necklace // MK Tortoise Sport Watch

My fall uniform usually consists of a layers- a sweater with a button up under and jeans with flats or boots. It’s just so easy to throw on and go! I’m sure y’all will be seeing many posts similar to this in the future (just a warning).

I absolutely love a good pair of distressed jeans. These are perfect because they’ve got just the right amount of distress. It adds a little bit of a twist to this mostly classic and preppy look. The sweater I’m wearing is from Gap (last season) and I layered it with a popover from Old Navy. The great thing about a good neutral sweater is you can do any color/patterned button up/popover under it. Since it wasn’t too cold I paired this look with my holy grail Tory flats. Side Note: how many of you have the new Revas? Are they as comfortable as the old ones since they don’t have a elastic back? My Longchamp Le Pliage tote and Ray Ban aviators tops off this easy breezy fall look.

What’s your fall uniform?

Sweater Weather

1 // 2 // 3 // 4

It drops 7 degrees in South Louisiana and we all break out the sweaters. I’ve been waiting with bated breath for fall to arrive and bring with it cooler weather, warm coffee drinks (PSL anyone?), and layers upon layers.

In anticipation for the upcoming weather, I’ve been browsing around for some sweaters. This season I’m super into chunky knits, turtlenecks, and ponchos. I cannot wait to layer my J. Crew puffer vests with some chunky sweaters. I picked out a few I’m digging- including a textured sweater, chunky cable knit turtleneck in the most beautiful coffee and cream color, long light weight poncho to throw on over a solid long sleeve tee or even to wear alone as a statement piece, and the ever so classic v-neck sweater to pair with jeans and boots.

I’m too excited to break out my jeans, riding boots and sweaters, so until then, I’ll be crushing on these babes online. A girl can only dream, huh?

What are you most looking forward to this fall?

On my radar

One // Layering Necklaces

Layering necklaces is a huge trend this year. I have been super into layering my Kendra Scott Elisa necklace with my simple Alpha Phi bar necklace. I just love the way it looks when I wear it with anything because it draws interest. Check it out the the pic above.

Two // PHHHOTO

How fun is it to make your own GIFS? I’ve been loving Photo because it’s so fun and different from any other social media I’m on. (I tried to insert my gif into this post but it didn’t work so here’s a nice still pic of my eyeball).

  Three // Suede everything

This suede dress is probably one of my all time favorites for gameday. The detail on the top is so simple, but it really takes this dress to a more feminine level. I love the way it fits too- not too tight or short. Suede booties are super trendy for this season too. There’s so many colors and styles out there right now, it’s crazy. I love a simple black suede bootie because it’s sure to go with everything. You can get mine here.

Four // The O.C.

I recently just discovered that the CW has an online streaming service kind of thing called CW Seed. After taking a peek at the shows that were on it, I immediately knew I wanted to watch the O.C. When it was on air, I was too young to watch it but I’ve always heard so much about it. Plus Adam Brody (Leighton Meester’s husband), Mischa Barton and Rachel Bilson star in it- so you can’t go wrong, right? After the first episode, it kind of reminds me of a One Tree Hill and Laguna Beach mix. I cannot wait to keep watching!

Five // Planner

The life of a college student is crazy. Sorority, School, Friends- it’s so hard to keep all of my shiz together. I’m constantly writing everything down in my planner so I don’t forget. Plus washi tape and some colored Sharpie pens make this cute, yet functional.

Six // “Perfect” by 1D

I’M IN LOVE. As of I didn’t already love One Direction enough, this song stole my heart. It’s got such a catchy hook and the reference to T-Swift (as shown in pic above) makes me swoon.
