The ultimate Golden Goose guide + my collection!

GOLDEN GOOSE — something I actually get asked about often – where to buy, sizing info, if they’re actually worth it/comfortable so I figured I’d sit down and pour my little heart into a blog post encompassing all things Golden Goose.

DISCLAIMER: It takes a lot of budgeting to buy a pair, I won’t lie! But I truly find too much happiness in a new pair of shoes. So be broke or have fabulous sneakers? Obvi the later.

MY GOLDEN GOOSE COLLECTION

POLKA DOT MIDS // PINK HI STARS // TAN/PURPLE SEQUIN SLIDES // BLACK GLITTER SUPER STARS // PINK/MAROON SLIDES

SIZING

I am a true 8 and I wear a 38 in all styles. Some Golden Goose wearers like to size down in styles like runners or slides but in my experience I like to take my true size in all styles. I normally wear thin socks with mine or don’t do socks at all!

WHERE TO BUY

I like to look on lots of sites when I’m searching for the perfect pair but the only websites I have actually purchased from thus far have been SSENSE, Italist, Harvey Nichols, and Jomashop. I also love to browse on the Golden Goose Gang Facebook page – it’s great to get insider tips about sizing, pricing, and also buy new and used GG!

PRO TIP: Most sites will change the prices of the shoes every so often, so I always check a few times before buying. I’m comfortable spending max $450. I’ve gotten all 5 of my pairs for that or under so just know IT IS POSSIBLE y’all! You don’t have to pay $600 for a pair of GG you just have to be SMART about it! I will say though all of the sneakers are made in limited quantities so if you love a pair and the price is right, I say go for it because they may not be there for long!

Websites with Golden Goose in the name are most likely fake. If a deal is too good to be true, it probably is!

ssense // farfetch // italist // net-a-porter  // spinnaker boutique // giglio // sohosoho boutique // harvey nichols // jomashop

*** NET A PORTER TIP: CHANGE COUNTRY UP TOP FOR CHEAP OPTIONS WITHOUT DUTIES. US STORE WILL CHARGE DUTIES ON A PAIR SO THAT’S WHY THEY’LL COST MORE!!

ARE GOLDEN GOOSE ACTUALLY WORTH IT?

In my *humble* opinion yes, 100%. If you know me IRL, you can pretty much find me wearing a pair of GG 24/7. They’re my favorite shoes and oh so comfy. I wear them to work where I stand for 8 hours a day and they’re unlike any other shoe. I’m def a sneaker girl so I always find myself reaching for them no matter what! I love how each pair is a little different and they add such a cool pop to any outfit.

Here’s an ode to my newfound obsession — athleisure. Taking classics like my Adidas superstars, and adding a little spin on them has kept me creating some funky outfits lately.

As I’ve mentioned (too many times to be exact), the weather in southern LA is the hopelessly unpredictable. One day I’m rocking jean shorts + a t-shirt, and the next I’m adding jackets to my jeans + sweater look. It’s honestly the worst. You never know what you’re going to get. The day I shot this,  it was actually chilly so I opted for layers.  Spanx leggings, a loosely fit sweater, and the piece de resistance — a denim jacket. Casual, cool and comfy — I’ll take it. Finishing it all off were my silver and white Adidas superstars (they are stars for real).

Do y’all have Adidas superstars? How do you style them?

A plain t-shirt, distressed jeans + sneaks is the perfect combo for a lazy day of running errands. Y’all know I’m obsessed with these distressed jeans from Old Navy (I only wear them in literally every other post lol). I paired them with this plain t-shirt from American Eagle that I got on sale for $8 (talk about a bargain.. I also picked up one in white too! You can never have too many plain t-shirts). As of late, I’ve been living in this navy blue bralette from Express. It’s a halter and it’s adjustable in the back — so it’s super comfy. For jewelry I added this suede and pearl necklace and I tied it to be a choker and then let it hang to show off the pearls. Ray Bans and my Longchamp bag rounded out the accessories and of course I added my Steve Madden sneakers to top it off!

My style has really evolved in the past year. This outfit would be something that I would have never worn last year, but I really loved how it turned out! I paired this striped dress with a plaid shirt tied around my waist. I’m wearing the same bandeau from Express for this outfit as well. For accessories, I layered my Kendra Scott Elsa necklace and my Alpha Phi bar necklace. My Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC went perfect with this look too! My Steve Madden sneakers perfectly added the casual cool vibe to this look.
